Kanchenjunga Trek

This is a long adventure trek to a remote part of Nepal, a region which sees far fewer trekkers then other areas because of it's remoteness.

The valley's in the East are deeper than must parts of the country and therefore lower in the altitude until we get close to the peaks, thus providing us with some of the must diverse scenery in Nepal.

The highlight of our trek and our Goal will ultimately be the magnificent Khambachen valley nestled between sharphu 7070m and mighty Kanchenjunga massif, forming a gorge on a truly gigantic scale. The Khambachen valley is not only one of the most inaccessible area in Nepal but regarded as one of the most beautiful.

Our trip starts when you arrive in the famous city of Kathmandu Nepal. Our itinerary sets you up to visit the most impressive sights and culturally significant locations in Nepal. The local guides are some of the best Nepal has to offer. We will have the luxury of porters carrying our equipment. Our food will be provided by local chefs who go above and beyond to provide food with local resources that Americans are accustomed to.

Our AMGA certified guide, Mark Grundon, has spent part of his college education studying the local culture, and ecosystems in Nepal.

We will be running the trip with a local logistics and trekking company, Mountain Paradise Treks, which has been running trekking trips in Nepal since 1978.

Level: Participants on the Kachenjunga Trek should be in very good physical condition and have some previous trekking and/or backpacking experience.
