Intro to Backountry Ski Touring
Lassen National Park, Cascades - 3 days

Experience the supreme solitude and beauty of backcountry skiing with a professional backcountry ski guide. This three-day backcountry skiing adventure begins with a ski into the beautiful Heather Lake area of Lassen National Park to establish a comfortable base camp.

Backcountry skiing instruction includes all ski touring techniques, avalanche awareness and rescue basics, winter camp craft and navigation with map, compass and GPS. And count on plenty of turns, with a descent of Lassen Peak - the cascades most southern active volcano.

Learn the art of backcountry skiing and gain the confidence and skills to ski out of bounds on your own.
