Cancelled or Underbooked Trips
California Alpine Guides LLC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule
trips due to inadequate sign-ups or for other unforeseen circumstances.
In the event a scheduled trip has inadequate sign-up we may be able to offer the option of a discount on our custom guiding rates to allow CAG to still run
the trip. This is at CAG discretion. Otherwise the trip could be
cancelled and you will receive a full refund.
You will receive a full refund when the course is cancelled more
than 48 hours before the start date. However, CAG is not responsible
for additional expenses such as airline tickets, car rentals, equipment...etc.
It is recommended you obtain trip cancellation insurance to protect
yourself, see below.
Weather Credits
California Alpine Guides LLC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule
trips due to severe weather or other uncontrollable environmental
circumstances that make the trip unsafe to continue. NO REFUNDS
WILL BE MADE DUE TO WEATHER AND UNCONTROLLABLE ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS.
A weather credit, or partial weather credit, can be issued for a
trip that has been cancelled or rescheduled within 48 hours of start
date due to weather or environmental conditions. This decision is
solely at the discretion of the trip leader and/or the directors
of CAG. Weather credits are not issued for trips that are not operated by CAG.
Note: Weather credits are in-house credits
that can be used on any similiarily priced CAG scheduled trip within
one year of date of issue. They are only valid on courses that are
operated by CAG. They are non-transferable. No extensions beyond
the one-year expiration date. Weather credits cannot be used on,
and are not issued for, international trips.
CAG/IAG is not responsible for any travel costs asscociated with cancelled trips. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance through Travel Guard to cover the cost of cancellation and trip fees and accident insurance:
